Melissa - wonderfu/great stuff ! Just bought your two albums. Am from Houston but live-work in Arabia (energy - finance). And, I write-perform my own tunes (played at the Mucky Duck last year ...great fun). Am on faceBook. I'll be in Texas for a nice long holiday mid Nov thru mid Dec. I hope to see you play. Will let my freinds in NYC know about you. Oh - and now I have to get a Greenfield guitar (great sond) - and I like very much the way you play (can you share any tunings?). Hugs and best wishes - Mike

Then I moved to San Francisco. When are you coming out here?? Freight & Salvage in Berkeley is a great venue.

I was driving across NJ Highlands this afternoon and I though of seeing you in New Palz last spring. I guess I miss you and now I will deploy the Muppet Rule and ask right out loud for another chance to hear the Paris attic studio song one more time (and see you dance with your familiar, to boot) Someday you'll know I was the one. Love, Walter

Just got Dwelling in the mail. Thanks for sending it out and including such a sweet letter. As I expected, it sounds GREAT! I can't wait to see and hear you in-person again. Until then at least now I've got more songs to choose from to get my Greener music fix. Hurry up and "get the hell out of Tennessee" and back to Texas. We miss you!

Best wishes on the new CD.

You rock!

Supposed to go to do something else, but compelled to look at your site.

Your song about leaving Nashville still haunts me ... searching for change for gas money. Cleveland, Ohio Thanksgiving 2007

I love that you can play your axe and rock out and you can write a beautiful, simple melody that says
something poetically, honestly. Your voice is married to the song.

Your music grabs me.

Come back to the Barking Spider in Cleveland, Ohio.

Congrats on winning the contest

Michael

I only started listening to a couple of the new songs because even a few seconds in, I stopped myself. "Wow" I said. It's like looking for a doorway with an earthquake coming on. These are the years of your best work and we're lucky to hear - to listen - hurry with the new disc. Spring's a great time for birthin' that baby!

Hi Melissa,
Thanks for a wonderful show in Dallas on June 27th. It was nice of you to give up some of your time for Patty Larkin, but I'm sad that it meant less time for you. I'm looking forward to a FULL show of just YOU sometime soon! Tell them over at Uncle Calvin's that yours and Ellis' show on Sept. 26th needs to go until at least midnight. See ya' soon. - Jim

Hee Haw Melissa!

We too shelter under this same Big Sky. I love watching you play and move around at the same time. I mentioned that I saw this like ballet in your act, but it is more than that. The instrument seems to become animated through your translations. You hold a frame and make the whole room rotate around it. People who do stuff like this were once referred to as Sorceresses. How fortunate that you live during this enlightened age where magic is nearly indistinguishable from Disney! Your parlor tricks are very amusing and entertaining. I imagine that you are capable of more sophisticated manifestations and my curiosity does go there against a better judgment. So when you look up at those stars at night, so big and bright deep in the heart of you-know-what, think sometime of your older gentleman friend who saw you and also sees the little dim stars of New Jersey – one and the same. My ways and your frames make a nice pattern somehow, nay?

Love - Walter
